A few weeks ago decided to put the buffer on the X5 and 3 Series Coupe.
Both black metallic.

Surface was a little rough, cars 4 years old and never been touched.

I did such a great job under the flouros (so i thought) until I took the cars out in the sun, and then i thought to myself

"What a dickhead you are. How the hell did that happen!"

There were buffer holograms all over the cars. (if you dont know what they are Google it)

This had never happened to me before.

Cars were mirror finish, but in the sunlight you could see the "s" shaped movements of the buffer as a hologram,  what appeared to be about 15cm behind the paint surface.

So feeling rather embarrassed and not wanting to call the likes of Mario Eurogloss with dickhead written on my forehead, I decided to try and rectify it myself.

After using various products and techniques I found this one was successful in bringing the cars back to as new. (others improved the gloss finish and shine but at the same time enhanced the buffer holograms).

I used all sorts of polishes and cutters  etc.  but none seems to work.

This worked a treat:-

I used Meguiar's Ultimate Compound applied with a hand held orbital buffer. (2 treaments were required) followed by Mothers Brazilian Carnauba Cleaner Wax.

So just in case there are any other dickheads out there (like me)  here is the solution.

Dicks need a Brazilian?

Seems to enhance the features and provide a nice smooth surface which shines

Congratulations on fixing the problem Dean , you might find that the Meguiar's Ultimate compound is too harsh to refine the paint plus it has fillers in it . I am sure because I have used it before in case you get stuck again don't hesitate to call me Mario aka EuroglossPrestige aka polish doctor lol !

A number of things Dean , without seeing the condition of the paint and your technique I can't comment :)
