How the hell did you get an import approval without naming the RAWS shop?????

You will find most of them will charge the full fee which includes the import approval, etc, etc....

And it shouldn't matter which state it goes to, all the compliancing is standardized as the RAWS is a federal thing, not state by state.

Should be fine then, just borrow a steering wheel from someone on Evo forums, skyline guys do it all the time.
You can say I'm wrong, but my garage doesn't agree with that statement!!!

This sounds a bit strange, all the RAWS imports I have done require the RAWS shop to apply for the import approve, the car then goes straight to the shop once it arrives here and they then complete the compliance work(and Conversion if needed).

This sounds a little fishy as if you have already engaged a shop, they would want to complete the work as well - I would assume.

Unless things have changed but I highly doubt it........

reason is because a friend wanted to buy the car but had some issues.

I have emailed the Vehicle Import Approval if I can change the destination and company doing the compliance.

It gonna be expensive to have it shipped to Brisbane and then to Melbourne.

thanks for highlighting this , I should have asked earlier ....:(
