Met my childhood hero this morning, Adam Gilchrist.

Really lovely guy, epitome of a great bloke. Chatted for half an hour about some of his memorable innings, including the 204 not out in South Africa in 2002 that caused me to get in the only real trouble I ever got in at school - by falling asleep in class as a result of staying up all night to watch his innings on television.

Anyway, the match has been a bit of a bore the last couple of days, but that was a great little moment I took away from it. Something I'll cherish for the rest of my life.

I'll be at every day of the Adelaide Test. Can't wait.

I predict an Aussie series win. Either 2-0 or 2-1.

Having been over there to see the Durham Test earlier this year I don't think the gap is very large at all between the teams. The Poms just played the big moments better. That series could have very easily had a totally different scoreline.

The other thing I discovered over there is that even the English think Broad is a knob.
