When I ate there food was very nice and service was ok. We went on a weekday and we were pretty much the only people there.

Went out with a group of Yanks a few months back - they were so shock at the prices they said there was no way known they were going to leave a 10% tip. 

Mind you one guy felt sorry for the waitress and slipped her a twenty, which caused even more confusion because said waitress thought he wanted her to visit his motel room when she had knocked off!!!

Food in US restaurants is plentiful, the service is superb and the meals great and thats in chain restaurants

Their chain restaurants are in many cases better than our upmarket ones.
