I love reptiles!!
I was up in N.Q. (Cape Tribulation) last year & went spotlighting through the rain forest & came across an 10-12 ft Scrub Python (very strong, very aggressive & the largest snake in Oz) so I thought it would be cool to catch it & get some photo's :scared: Did not think that it would tie both my hands together like hand cuffs. My wife laughed at me for about 10 minutes while I was trying to untangle himself from me & then I finally muscled my way out of his grip. I would do it again in a heart beat but I would go about it a different way :D

Just browsing my computer for a few photo's & found these.......
The first 1 was the one that caught me out & the others are smaller, different ones (found about 4 snakes that night) we found on the road & while we were walking through the forest. The last one is from when our goanna found a box to hide in the 1st time he got out........he has been in our Xmas tree & in boxes in the past :p

where i live i can't tell the difference between a python and a tiger snake or brown snake.

Any live snake i find in the back yard is considered dangerous.
Personally i have never come across a live snake in my back yard

Any dead snake i find in my back yard is a good snake.
Found 3 lately.  Must be the kookas that attack them and drop them on the drive way.

Sorry if I offend, but my kids are more important than the snakes.

No offence taken mate. When it comes to kids & snakes, never really a good mix. Just a bonus that both my youngins love reptiles & will always talk to me before they touch anything at all (bugs, spiders etc). Best thing to do if you do find a snake in the back yard is to call a snake catcher & they will relocate it for ya

We used to see 6-10 browns at our business every year. Been down lately though, but never, ever kill them... Staff cop it if they do as well...
Keep the mice and rats down! :)
