I've spent 2 days this week chasing parts and doing research for, and fixing that blue metallic 360 spider Xenon headlamp ballast unit.....

anyway, it's done now...

but today I bought a pair of SCX (slot car) 360 GT race cars for my boys... and one of them has a faulty headlamp....

No way can I put up with it not working, so out with the tools tonight....

Sanity severely tested......  :gnasher:

Well it took a while, but I HAVE now fixed my boys 360 GT slot car headlamp..... Dry joint in the PCB.

It's super cool now..... just like Xenon lamps... blue/white....

I also fitted some new special silicone braided wire to the off road car power frame, as that kept having break downs due to wire fatigue.....

So, today at least, I'm slotcarfixer.

If anyone has some scalextric and/or SCX track or stuff they're not using, shout out! My 3 years old seems particularly good for his age.....

I've got a fair bit of track. If I remember, I'll pack it next trip to Melbourne.

I thought I could interest my girls in Scalextric but I then couldn't be bothered fixing the cars when they broke. Now they have got too old for it!
