Gained 4.5kg in that time :?

only difficult thing is convincing yourself to get off your ass and go and exercise. i find exercise great, its just getting motivated to do it, and now ive got myself into a routine, its much easier.

Yup - I actually really enjoyed running last year, thing is I had something pushing me which was the desire to be able to do the 12km City to Bay.  After I finished that the only motivation is discipline - which I kept up for a while but then when I foot went bung for a while and I was almost unable to walk, I pretty much lost it.  That and Summer was starting and I hate heat at the best of times, running in it is not on my agenda.

Wii Fit...

Quote
Let me start by introducing myself. I'm a 34 year old who believes that beer, fast food and late nights are the staple diet of life. However, this Christmas has really taken its toll. I have eaten more turkey, ham, chicken, kebabs and chocolate than I can ever remember in my life. I've also been off work for over a month so every few days I've been indulging in beer, vodka, cocktails and more beer. The last few weeks of my life have become a blur of booze and food. I'm starting to think that if I shove on a red suit I could easily double as the big man himself.

Now, I could go to a gym, stand next to a whole bunch of uber-hunks who spend their lives preening in front of mirrors and strolling across Bondi Beach with women ogling their six-packs, but us real men know that we have better things to do in our lives than work out in a gym every day.

Thankfully Lord Nintendo in His infinite wisdom has given us Wii Fit along with a bunch of mini-games that can hopefully help us get fit and lose some of the Christmas rolls - and I'm not talking about the type that you buy from the shops. Time to put it to the test over the next 14 days.

My awesome little Mii is all smiles and the balance board has welcomed me (Mii?!) to the game. My belly jiggles as I step up to the board. I don't feel intimidated because I'm a gamer and this is a game. I have played games all my life and this is just another one that I can beat. Easy!

First things first - I have to do a body test. Hmm, that doesn't sound good at all.

It asks me for my height -168cm.

It asks me for the year I was born - 1974.

Oh oh. It is measuring my weight and just told me I have a Body Mass Index of 30.75.

OMG! The &%^ing balance board just called me obese and made my little Mii really fat. I'm feeling quite depressed and have stepped off the little white oblong turd to have a snack...

Ok - my visitors have departed after 2 weeks of subjecting me to constant meals and socialising and I feel like a whale. :?  My simple plan is to now only have "meals" when it's a social occasion which should be limited for the next month or so as I need to get a lot of work done, all other sustenance should probably be via beer or whatever. :p

...

Gained 4.5kg in that time :?

Shed 3kg on the Simmonds diet. :p

So it’s been 1 month since I started and I have finally reached my goal of 10kg. But it doesn’t stop here. I want to get back to 90-93kg
It took 2-3 weeks to lose 7-8kg then another week to get to 10… but I did slacken off a bit in there. And there was the heat wave thingo….
I’ve increased my workout to interval training. I still do 90% of my exercise as rowing, but I have changed the way I exercise and I have noticed the increased benefits.
Instead of rowing for 30 mins at 60% effort… I now row 20 mins at 60% but with 30 second 100% sprints every 4 mins.
As a result I’m feeling much more tired during the day… and hurting a bit more. But no pain no gain hey…

Anyway so just so I can keep a track.

19th Jan – 115kg
19th Feb – 105kg
