They are doing this in a lot of places now, there was a lot of rorting with keycards, etc at one of the companies my missus worked at, if someone was running late they would hand their card to a friend and get them to key in and things like that.

Most places are outsourcing Payroll now too, so they are using a lot more tracking now, no different to the GPS units installed in all of our operational vehicles........

I'd have no problem with passwords, pins or key cards. But not fingerprint scans. That's breach of privacy.

I suppose a company asking for a fingerprint is just like asking for a DNA sample. Who knows who'll get hold of that database in the future.

Once you go to jail for being wrongfully accused for something, you will become more paranoid about your personal info.

I see it the other way around....if everyone was fingerprinted and DNA tested, the chance of being wrongfully accused of a crime might reduce.
