played at north adelaide today, was going to play the south course (good one) but it was members day, so got stuck with the north course. it was ok... but very dry and it felt like every hole was up hill.....

im pretty good off the tee. most of my drives are straight and far, my chipping is pretty decent (for a weekend hacker) but my putting is where i let myself down.

i normally play at the Pat. im thinking of playing a few of the "local" country courses over the next couple of months, like lady bay, mt barker, claire etc....

I used to play thaxted, wirinna and echunga.
I'm playing less and less at the moment and considering a second job so it could go out altogether .
My new place is about 2 minutes from Grange and Royal Adelaide would like to play them at some stage

I haven't "played" in years.

Went to the Tapp Inn a couple months ago for a slog is about it.

Otherwise I used to live in North Adelaide just off the course and back then (02-03) I used to be out every wed arvo for 9 holes and then off to the pub.

thats the same here 120 -> 50M's and i all i need is a pitching wedge and i'll be all good

do you have a big driver? i used to find using a 1 wood (not oversized) was a bit hit and miss. some times you would hit it right down the fairway, but then you would slice the next.
with my new driver (the heads the size of a basketball)  i hit straight without any slice 70-80% of the time.

Yeah the north course is shit, all the greens are as bumpy as anything. It's deteriorated over the years.

For me, I'm average on a wood, BUT I'm getting better. I find wood so much harder to control than an iron.

I am very good with irons, can hit good distance and in a straight line.

As for putting, I have good days and bad days.

The NSX owner interested in the black 360 made me chuckle...

he plays Golf and of course, the NSX swallows the clubs easy...

so he looks at the 360 front boot, and scratches his head.....

Luckily, he's only 5 foot and so's his golf buddy, so the bags can go behind the seats!

i have an oversized head, tried a few different ones but still only get 1 out of 10 anywhere close to the target area.
i have one of the hybrid iron/woods that i can hit semi good but still go for the irons or distance  :scratchchin:

lol... you should stick to the 19th hole.

i tried one of those hybrids today, wasnt a huge fan of it. i still like using irons on the fairway.
i think we need to get a group together for a round...
