How long until cars are coated in this stuff? What about roads - would it be feasible to coat a road in this to prevent it getting particularly wet, whilst also retaining grip features for tyres...?

I remember years ago there was stuff like that for windscreens. Rain guard?
Was great if you didnt use the wipers, but when the rain got too heavy and you turned them on, they stuttered back and forth all the time. Doesnt allways work as well as you'd hope

I use rain-x, after someone recommended it on here, works great for a while, but you need to reapply monthly. If anything it makes the wipers smoother
