I have my fax running through crazy domains for around $60 a year and no land line. The best bit is I receive faxes as a PDF attached to an email so I get my faxes anywhere. I also send a faxes via the same service.

I am in the same dilemma so far I still have it.

I have a Telstra Air Bundle but don't really need the phone set up, just never thinking about it.

I believe if the Department Of Human Services requests stuff from your employees, you can't email as the government as it deems it insecure (no control of a shared email account on their end). But they accept snail mail, drop off to an office or a FAX!

I am not letting mine go. When the apocalypse hits one will need a copper network. Very good back-up for a small amount of $'s
they are disconnecting the copper, hence the need to go to NBN.

Landline runs through the NBN so I'm sorry but the zombies will get you.

yes mate, I didn't want NBN, but had no option if I wanted to keep a landline.

Now that I've got the extra speed (was 25 to 30 Mbps, now up to 96 Mbps) it sure makes a difference surfing the net, especially watching you tube. After a little while, I'm always watching it in HD. Makes it more enjoyable.

Also great for Netflix. Everything loads super quick.

Cheap security, not sure what good it does unless you can attach a weapon to it -

Ah so you must have been in one of the original Footprints..........I want NBN but I can't get it!!  :o

So I will just have to live with my 5Mbps for a little while more.   :?
