His role in the Green Mile was stunning, sad so young, he was huge, perhaps his heart just couldn't take it.

glad you read my posts like a hawk tristan.  sometimes ones memory of names, movies, records etc can slip a bit and in that case it did, the movie was The Green Mile.

Would have been good to have met you in the Hill, you missed a great weekend.

In the spring of 2012, Clarke had appeared in a video for PETA, the animal rights organisation, in which he spoke of how much better he felt since becoming a vegetarian three years earlier."

I cleared out my refrigerator, about $5000 worth of meat," he said. "I'm a lot healthier than I was when I was eating meat."

Wow. I came into this thread not knowing who Michael Clarke Duncan was and asked a genuine question.
I would have liked to have gone to the Hill but like I stated in another thread, I had already committed to being at Winton with the Porsches.

He was about 6'4 and Tom Hanks is around 5'11 so you can see by the pic that he used platform shoes and stood on a platform at various times in the movie. When you see him in Armageddon alongside Bruce Willis he looks big but nowhere near as massive as in the Green mile. They deliberately made him look bigger than he is.

He was an excellent actor and would have been a scarey sight in person to most people.

 ;)
You think it's time for the medical society to take a stand and use his passing to expose the truth?
