No, not me!  Given I'm about the only bloke who's 30odd and yet to hit puberty it would be a very slo-mo. :o

But my mate Rod is a champion mo'er and is growing it for charity.  I'm in for a lobster note.

Mogress Report - Movember 2007

Well, seven days into Movember and the mo is taking shape! Please see attached image. I have decided to let it grow to it's full bushiness this year and not trim it away from the nose like last year. Apart from that, it is much the same as last year's successful mo (nominated for best 70's mo). This year the Gala Parte has a 70's theme so I will be dressing to suit, wig and all. Unless anyone can think of something more imaginative and fun to go as... I am open to suggestions!

Thanks to those who have kindly donated I have my Gala Parte ticket! Not only have you helped me to go to the parte but you have contributed to a worthy cause. All the silliness aside, it is important to remember why I am doing this.

    * Depression affects 1 in 6 men...Most don't seek help. Untreated depression is a leading risk factor for suicide.
    * Last year in Australia 18,700 men were diagnosed with prostate cancer and more than 2,900 died of prostate cancer - equivalent to the number of women who die from breast cancer annually.
    * Men are far less healthy than women. The average life expectancy of males is 5 years less than females.

To sponsor my Mo please go to http://www.movember.com/au/donate, enter my registration number which is 75947 and your credit card details. Or you can sponsor me by cheque made payable to the "Movember Foundation" clearly marking the donation as being for my Registration Number: 75947. Please mail cheques to: PO Box 292, Prahran VIC 3181. All donations over $2 are tax deductible.

The money raised by Movember is donated to the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia and beyondblue - the national depression initiative, which will use the funds to create awareness, fund research and increase support networks for those men who suffer from prostate cancer and male depression.

For those that have supported Movember in previous years you can be very proud of the impact it has had and can check out the detail at: Fundraising Outcomes.

Movember culminates at the end of the month at the Gala Partés. These glamorous and groomed events will see Tom Selleck and Borat look-a-likes battle it out for their chance to take home the prestigious Man of Movember title. If you would like to be part of this great night you'll need to purchase a Gala Parté ticket.

Thanks for your support

Rodney

Movember is proudly grown by Commonwealth Bank, Holden, Schick and VB.

I've been so busy with trips away and stuff that I realised two weeks into the month I had barely looked in a mirror and hadn't shaved buzzed, that's about a record for me so I thought I'd go ahead and let it grow for the rest of the month.

All it does is reaffirm why I never tried Movember in the first place, my effort look likes a 13yo Italian girl's 'stach. :?

Edit: proof.
