Yeah - watching Rockwiz which was an ex's fave - so anyhoo what was the first gig you attended?

I went to a bunch of "rave" things, but the first gig I went to was Snap (with Turbo B) in 1992 at Thebarton Theatre.

For those who don't remember or care about Snap...

I had my first two gigs within a week:

5 June 1993:  Guns n' Roses
12 June 1993:  Metallica

Best week ever!

Ah - I didn't get into the whole November Rain thing back then - like it now though.

Don't quite remember the year, 1988 I think it was. Saw "The The" in Melbourne - it will be always remembered.

Not long after that was Severed Heads and Signal Gun Theory, bloody awesome show, I am guessing not many would have heard about them.

And not forgetting NIN(Nine Inch Nails). Always been a fan, love that they did the music for Quake, with nail gun ammo stamped with the NIN symbol.  :darkside:

I know Severed Heads and Single Gun Theory quite well - was a fan of their stuff.

As for NIN - well I was a fan on another plane (I have everything of Trent's), and yes I loved the Quake release, that was my favourite "sleep" music, I bought it in like '96 or whenever it first came to Oz, but have since lost it and can't find another copy. :(

My fist gig was AC/DC on their ballbreaker tour in 1996, Tue 5th November, was in Year 4 at the time, went to school the next day and couldnt hear a thing! Was awesome, also scored Angus Young's guitar pick from him during the show :D

Ash - I have the Quake 1 CD with NIN soundtrack. Will dig up the CD when next upstairs and send you MP3s of it.

First concert I can remember was Pop Will Eat Itself at the Old Greek Theatre in 1991. Ah, the heady days of early 90's pop-metal-electronica... good times, good times...

I used to go to quite a few local metal gigs before this but as far as international artists go -
Joe Satriani in 1990, solo tour, not his appearance with Mick Jagger
