could be a useful scam if your family has say 3 white Hyundai POS' or similar, 1 set of plates for the whole family LOL.

Cover up the VIN so it cant be seen at a glance through the windscreen and you're set.

The cops won't find that suspicious at all!

It's very difficult to copy plates in Vic, they have a reflective stuff in the paint and when the boys see they don't behave like they should even in day light, you will be pulled over for a look see.......

Steal a plate from a car then go back and steal the other plate a couple of months later. They will assume the old plates fell off as what good is just one plate? Not that I would condone this sort of behavior.

Not sure if every state does it but over the last 3 months the ACT Police have been advertising at different shopping centres and are fitting anti-tamper screws to attach your number plates to your car.

Apparently they need a special tool to attach and remove them 👮

If you use it for some uses you will get caught, if you used It simply to avoid rego fees you might get away with it, if you speed and the ticket goes to the real owner you'll get caught and the penalty would far outweigh any benefit.
