Speaking as a Qld-er who worked and lived in your state for a number of years it's just that is the way SA people are.
And it's good.
Damn good.
It's a very mixed social millieu and you have wine and food and a "trattoria" tendency re eating and socializing.
Southbank and the attendent BNE suburbs are of a like mein. Hobart is similar.

Been a long time lurker on the site, just decided to sign up.

It'll be good to start getting involved with the scene here, and hopefully getting along to some of the meets.

I currently drive a 09 WRX, but looking into getting a toy soon - probably a pre-loved Lotus Elise (hey, I'm only 25 ).

Work in the private security currently looking at changing jobs and looking at getting qualled in Graphic Design, as I've been doing it as a hobby for the last few years and would like to make some more regular coin from it.

Besides the motley junk collection listed I must 'fess to one or twa' other iniquities re vehicles.
One of my mates - retired cocky - makes his daily from importing, restoring and selling-on of Holt, Best, and old/er and classic Cat track drive equipment. Brings 'em in by the shitload, and happy with what he is doing.
My one such in that area is an historic I-H minidozer, an IH BTD6 with a seized - weather encroachment - engine
[which was in need of resto anyway]
The other is truckz. Current resto issue is a '74 Fiat/Iveco NT33 articulated [prime mover] that hauled cars.
Yet again a V8, this one a diesel, 17.5 litres of un-turboed 735DIN bhp turbomotor bludging totally @ about 380-400 bhp.
Both happen as and when can, will be useful and used when finished, but are not priority.
Anybuddy else on site with failings similar?
Re food issues, weight loss continues, albeit @ a less rate, but that will most likely be the Guiness

Re the trucks bit, I also have the "sporting" version of a Hemi Dodge 300.
Yeah, 245 Hemi six-pack, headers, straight thru exhaust, New Process four-speed.....................
And when you jump up and down you can actually SEE the floor shift...............................
