Good rain forecast for Adelaide

BRACE yourselves - Adelaide is in for rain. No, really... it's forecast and everything.

The Bureau of Meteorology says rain - not just showers, mind you - now sweeping over Eyre Peninsula will hit Adelaide about sunrise tomorrow.

Parts of the state are already receiving a good soak, Ceduna getting 10mm in the past 24 hours. Rain is also falling on other parts of the state's west.

The first two months of this year have been the driest in decades and the last decent rain in Adelaide was back in mid-december.

Last year, just over 15 mm of rain fell on Adelaide during March.

They were right for once!

Just on the outskirts of the CBD there's a portion of road with ~8inches of standing water
