By definition, physical exertion AND skill.

My 5 year old niece can ride a bike, but I'm pretty sure she can't drive an F1 car.

Pretty sure she couldn't ride for 6 hours at 60km hour though... :p

Give enough drugs and it probably could
Meeting women on the Internet? Remember, the more similarities u “magically” have, & the more she agrees with u, the fucking crazier she is.

So, football (any code) is not a sport because anyone can kick a ball? ???

Thank you for that question. It is helpful to my point.

The simple act of kicking a ball is not a sport - it is an activity.
The sport of football includes an activity called kicking. The difference between the activity and the sport should be obvious.

There is no such obvious distinction in running, cycling, throwing, etc. where the activity IS the "alleged" sport.

The simple act of riding a bike is an activity.  Competitive cycling involves a certain degree of fitness and endurance and team strategy and is often watched by an audience -  kind of like football

+1

well said Arthur. I'm surprised that others think that competitive racing does not require skill.

Drugs don't magically transform the average person into an international level athlete. We are talking about infinitesimal differences in performance or fatigue minimisation.

Like him or not, LA is a genetic freak  (like a lot of the international level cyclists). His recent results in long distance triathlon demonstrate the massive engine this guy has, it's such a shame what he did because he did so much for the sport.

I think it's very unfair the way the treated Lance Armstrong, accusing him of taking drugs while competing in the TDF, geez when I was on drugs I couldn't even find my bike.

LMFAO
