So I went to my local servo for some fuel for the ride on and chain saws ect.

3 x 20 litre cans one had a bit left in and the pump said 72 litres cheeky buggers.
Anyway I asked when was the pumps last calibrated and only paid for 60 litres.
It pays to keep your eye on the ball bit hard in a car though.

I hope Yasser is doing a BP on South Road victor harbour turn off and not just on the run we need a BP servo around here.

Hang on, you may have been the one to rip them off.

Did you fill the jerry cans to the 20lt mark or all the way to the snout??? I have a number of 20lt jerry cans and I found if I fill them to the 20lt mark it's pretty well on the money, some of them I can fit another 3 lts in them if I fill them to the snout.

With the figures you are giving here, it's about a 20% inaccuracy in their favor, that's huge!! I have seen inaccurate pumps before but never that bad...........

Seems dodgy. But how do you know your 20L jerry cans hold exactly 20L?

I already had a bit of fuel in one of the cans they are 20ltr plastic type I remember over filling once and got 21ltr so I'm pretty close with 60ltr.
