Anyone remember what happened to the bali bombers????????????

As of August 2013 -

3 were executed by firing squad
3 died in shootouts with Indonesian special forces or Police
2 Are in Guantanamo bay, or thats where they were last heard from!
A few are serving lengthy sentences in Indonesian prison

1 guy who mixed chemicals is now free
1 guy who drove a motorbike alongside a van is now free
Abu Bakar Bashir is now free, no direct link to the bombings could be established.

Indonesia introduced new laws related to involvement in terrorism following the bombings, but they are not retrospective.
Similar laws are now being introduced in Australia - amid much resistance

The resistance is not political, its from the people who have concerns over data retention, indefinite detention without charge, guilt by association etc.

That's my read on it anyway.

Wouldn't it be ironic if they hid drugs in the coffins. How much did they weigh?

Joe public will be sick of this story by Friday, but it'll be chock-a-block in the weekend papers, then again next week when funerals are held.

Then it's fish and chip wrap, and most will go back to worrying about their own problems in their backyard.
