In the early 80's the Aussie dollar was like $1.20 US then they floated the dollar which was fine but then the brains made it out of metal. We all know that metal sinks, so it was a pretty stupid move to make it from metals after floating the bloody thing.

hmmmmm...very valid point
I love my car. Buy your own

:D I'm pretty sure westpac/CBA will count that for you if you have an account with them, just put it into groups by denomination  just realised, that wouldnt be any fun tho would it.. =p

Haha - sorting it into denomination is just as annoying - and stinky on the fingers!  I don't know how I seem to be the only one who accumulates so much change

A few weeks ago I took all the goldies in and got like $500 bucks, it's just hardly worth it to do the silver - haven't checked for a while but I think I have a big fruit bowl plus 4 or 5 cereal bowls overflowing with 50/20/10/5 cent pieces, plus my "in-use" change bowl which is full again, plus at the office I have a lunch box on my desk for change - I took the goldies out a couple weeks ago and got $80 bucks out of it, about 1/4 full again... :boggled:

Hehe - I used to have a gf who'd sit there and do it sometimes, I guess she got free rent out of it. :p

Here's what's sitting there at the moment :?  That big bowl at the back is just 20c pieces, weighs 7.1kg
