Do you just take it to the bank? The missus emptied her one out yesterday and as we were heading down to grab some stuff for dinner she was going to usea the change at the supermarket, she had a few 50c but most were 20's and 10's.

LOL - that can is full of just goldies, probably over a $k - I still have over four times as much as what's in there (capacity-wise) in silver coinage. :?

LOL - Fantastic. I though I was the only one who never carries coins out of the house. I just put them into a containerand once a month bag them up into denominations and chuck them in the bottom of the safe. Every few years or when they get in the way, I count up the bags and take them to the bank.

In 2004 when I got married I had enough to pay for most of our honeymoon to the Maldives and Singapore.

In Novemeber 2008 - when I moved house - there was enough to pay for the stamp duty on the first $250K on the new house!!

I dont miss it and it is fun to buy/ pay for something with money I didnt really consider
