yes it is stupid walking on a race track but to say he wouldnt have seen him seems a big stretch (the blue car definitely sees him).........seems like he hits the accelerator to scare him a bit and it goes horribly wrong from there............

Agreed on the last bit

What else matters?

Anyway, that's my opinion.

I don't care how often drivers get out of their car and wave their finger. Does that make it acceptable, or even legal? It makes for good TV and that's about it. Walking out on a live racetrack is stupidity.....and it would be bad enough if he was standing at the edge of the track, but he kept walking further and further onto the racing line.

Of course, none of that makes it any less tragic, but it was so senseless and avoidable.

No such thing as a racing line under yellows the driver needs to able to stop. Walking pace is not easy in a sprinter but if you hit the throttle shit happens very fast

As I said last night about this there needs to be an across the board rule made in motor racing. If you get out of your car to go abuse another driver its an instant 6 month ban. It goes on way too much. I saw an incident in Nascar earlier this year where a driver throws his helmet at a guy that he thinks taps his rear end and spins him. The replay showed that they never touched, his car got loose all by itself.

I agree...it's insanity, but good for TV, which is probably why it's been allowed.

Was it the end of the race or purely just a yellow flag?

Stewart has a temper and what he has done is beyond stupid.

Yep...lighting's great.

Not the same through the eyes of the driver. I must admit I have raced at sun set and could not see much down the straight. You could still see the green lights though.
Yellows stop racing.

I don't agree with any of that.

Yellow flag: Signals a caution, which tells drivers to slow down to a predetermined speed. Debris on the track or a wreck are typically the chief culprits for this flag.
