I went for a walk along the torrens yesterday to check out some old spots I used to fish.

Anyway I was amazed at some of the things that were dumped so I took some photos.

Its amazing how much junk was on the riverbed. In that small channel bit in the 2nd to last photo there were a few people in there going through seeing what they could find and you can see all the foot prints from people walking around in the mud trying to get stuff.

Cant believe anyone would want to do that as it was rank.

I hear that it is starting to fill up again slowly?!?!?

Are they going to clean it? or is it going to cost too much.

Slowly by the looks of it. Last I read they were paying something like 1million to re-fill by pumping some quary water.

They'd probably find an entire forgotten civilisation if they drained the Thames.  I remember watching a show where people walking along the Thames would quite often pick up old roman coins (thousands of years old), just sticking up in the mud.
I've been rich & I've been poor...

Rich is better
