Sort of related, anyone used one of those "Buy my place" companies to advertise/sell a home? Gets you listed on the big sites but you have to field the calls yourself and do the home opens. Pricing is from $600 up I believe.

Not many people want to take calls to sell their house themselves, you never know who the caller is and most people aren't comfortable dealing with strangers at that level.

I tried selling a house a few years ago using this method. It wasn't very successful. People don't want to deal with the vendor...they seem to prefer an arm's length transaction and negotiation.
