I saw this in the newspaper today. $150K.  Still, a V8 bike would be cool.

If you google Honda RC213V-S you will find lots of info and tests on it.
Sadly I doubt we will see any in Oz at that price. Bike people are funny, anything above circa $70k and it seems the punters wont bite.

At the quoted price, I really can't see the point of it especially with the limited power output.

If you are talking about the Honda you pay $25k more for the sports kit and you get 212bhp, 178kg and 116dB
Down side is it voids the warranty and makes it illegal for road use.

Very cool bike, literally hand assembled in ultra low volume by the Honda race mechanics in the race department.

Hats off to Honda for having the balls to build something like this. The last time Honda tried something this adventurous was the oval pistoned NR750. From memory it was $100k plus when an average sports bike was  $15k and a top shelf Ducati SP was in the $25-30k range. The NR750 is now very collectible and a couple actually made it to Oz.

yes I'm talking about the Honda,

It might be cool, but thats a lot of $$$ for cool, and I just can't see the point of that.

the desmo was different all together and to me, for the price, it made sense ( unless i'm mistaken that it's retail was around $150K).  It was the motogp bike with headlights and no lack of power as compared to the honda.
