Pretty impressive.
Elon Musk and Stephen Hawking reckon that the development of artificial intelligence will very quickly become a threat to the survival of the human race. Maybe this is the vehicle for it :p

As does Steve Wozniak and quite a few others. These robots will do tasks most humans can do. Then humans become redundant... Scary stuff

The way Musk described it was kind of believable. Went something like:

Humans design Robot to pick up rubbish. Robot thinks there must be a better way  :scratchchin:
Robot asks itself why do we have rubbish? Answer: Humans. Obvious solution: Get rid of humans. No more rubbish :eek:

He also doubted that the fail safe "never take a human life" would be the saviour and that if the robots had connection to the web there would be contagion.

A bit out there; but it makes you wonder.

My mate who is in town spent a week with Musk and said he was one of the most interesting people he has ever meet and his comitment to technology is out of this world.
