Yup it would be great; but you just can't do it because of the innocent bystanders. it would be too time consuming to edit them out of videos.

You should perhaps have a setup to record the threats and take that to the cops. If they aren't interested take it to social media and the general media they love this stuff. It's wrong, you pay your taxes you have the right to have the police act for you.

Sound recording in a public space is a big no, no and in any case it would be difficult to cover every cm of 424 sq metres plus the outside of the building.

As for the media, I expect the local paper will run a front page on it at some point

To give you an idea of the scope of the system in this store, it cost about $250k and has been upgraded constantly every year or two. I have just signed up for yet another $45k upgrade on all the cameras......

Funny you mention posters......... every time the pricks come in and rip the pictures down, I print even more of them to put up even more prominently. The Somalian prick has ripped his down twice so far and each time twice as many go back up

you'll find inkjet to be the most commonly used in large format. its really the only solution for something in an office or home. The photo prints i sent you from tassie were done using a fuji photo printing machine ($100k) and it requires full time staff.

I wonder if anybody can point me in the right direction with a very high quality photo printer?

I am suffering from an endemic plague of shop stealing scum ATM, and I have found the only effective solution is to print out photos of the dirtbags and put them on the front and rear windows of the shops. I have a very high end camera system; but am getting very low end quality prints from it. This is not what I am after obviously as it gives the false impression that the image quality of the system is poor. I want to print out high definition photos that are as detailed as the HD images the system provides.

I am not that concerned about the cost of the printer itself or its print costs as it will pay for itself over and over infinitum.
Any suggestions?

First what size prints you wanted ???

Also others made good suggestion if you know Photoshop its easy with 55" + all you have to do is enlarge and crop the culprit and run it on slideshow.

Put Perspex in front of the TV so they cant smash it if they see it. 

If you wanted to buy a printer there is a few option and you don't need to go commercial digital lab.

Epson ink-jet are very good up to 60" they cost around 15K many special shop sell them.
A few new ink or dye sub printer now also print up 8" to 10" will set you back a few grand.

I still suggest the TV as there wont be any consumable and maintenance as well.
If you still wanted to print find a size you wanted the rest I can point you the right direction. 

Just learn photo-shop once you get the hang of it, its easy even an old fool like me can a do a little.

I owned a photo lab back in the days before the digital era and have no desire to revisit it to that extent

The image quality currently is variable depending on the camera involved. Some of them are relatively new and others are up to 5yrs old. The coming update will bin about 25 of the cameras and replace them with the best up to date technology available. Some of them are full 360 degree vision which is very cool.

These are of the dirtbag that has gone up tonight. Pretty grainy image because one of the cameras is old and the other is a blown up image from a covert pinhole camera which is not full HD. The advantage of the covert pinhole is not outright image quality; but a nice sneaky pic of them at face height. Doesn't matter if they come in wearing a hoodie that way.

I wouldn't go back to running a lab. In my experience it is pretty much impossible to make a decent return as everything is price driven by the disount operations to insanely low margins. By the time you have paid for the equipment on the margins available it is either due for replacement or hopelessly outdated.

What Epsom model(s) are $15k ?

I will ask my camera supplier about the TV set-up. I agree it would get the best result; but I bet it is too painful to constantly update with edited images.
