I decided to clean some dust from my sensor today and used a little air blower. As this was my first time of doing it I was very careful and nervous as I didn't want to make it any worse.

Now the sensor is clean but it looks like quite a bit of dust has blown into the viewfinder.

Has anyone experience with cleaning dust from the viewfinder? Or would that be a service centre job?

The camera I use is the Sony A100.

And also, does anyone have good camera cleaning tips?

My tip, pay someone else to do it... I dont want to screw my camera's so send mine in to be done professionally, they generally do a lens for me at the same time for no extra charge...

take it to a service centre

if you have a canon and a member of cps they will do it while you wait for free. i don't know if other makes have a similar service.

my 1ds mk3 cleans it self, and it works surprisingly well :)

Minor Hijack - but how many CPS members are here - we're doing some work with them on new service offerings for members - so would be interesting to see how many CPS auto snappers are here ...
C'mon, do it!

you can count a 5D as one of your bodies towards membership but you need at least one EOS 1 series...

Thanks for the advice on cleaning, next time I will bring it to a service centre, but I just don't want to be without it for a long time.

It is ok for now as the dust from the sensor is gone and the photo's turn out great again. I can live with the dust in the viewfinder as it doesn't affect the photo's but will get that cleaned when I do decide to get it done professionally.
