Ta, but I pointed the thing in the rough direction of the windscreen and went for a spin.  I'm about to see if it even turned on.

Great. There can't be too much science to it, use the wide angle option and you can't go wrong... right???

After yesterday's setback (driving for an hour with the camera turned off), I'm ready to try to get it working today.  I'm going with Medium on the field of view (127 degrees instead of 170).  Is this wise?  With no viewfinder (until I find one), it all a bit of guessing game.

Wider FOV and lower to the ground gives a much greater sense of speed.
