I've been reading some reviews about the online store (digital world international) and it doesn't sound too bad, rather fast delivery too, so I think I will go for that one if nothing better turns up when I have the money

Dave: any specials at your work?  :tilt:
we stock a few sony models, but only 3 lenses... their G series lenses are pretty expensive, more so than nikon and canon...
not overly common

But Dave.... if you listen to the drift photographers, their 18-200 is better ;)

haha, who said that? or dont i need to ask

Cel, I've purchased my f4 70-220mm from B+H Photo recently (~$750 landed).  Highly recommended.  Your lens is there:

Is there a $$$ threshold for that?

Generally, are prime lenses best for macro photography?

Doesnt matter who said it... But Ryan almost dropped the 400 2.8 laughing....

The Sony stuff is rediculous for their good glass, makes Nikon look cheap!

On what Cel is looking at, shouldnt be a problem, if he gets something from an Australian distributor of Grey stuff it wont matter at all....

Primes are generally the sharpest, and would be my first pick for Macro stuff, all the proper macro lenses are Primes... I hear the 85 1.8 from canon is good with some macro extension tubes...
