yeah i have, i was there one time when a high end german car, not naming names or cars, had a front suspension arm fail and the car coming down the back straight missed the corner because of no brakes and went off the track at 190+KM/H, through the 45ish meters of soft sand and straight into the wall, whole front end was gone, air bags set off but the driver walked out with only a single scratch....... i got to go to the car and take photos of it after the incident. 

is that what your thinking as a "oh shit!" moment? also seen 2 cars spin at 200+ at the back straight, one of them because a rear tyre blew at high speed....

Sounds like it. Those times aren't that far off the GTR either from memory so the new engined r8 variant sounds like it is going to be weapon.
