Hey guys, I was recently directed to this tumblr blog by a friend and though I should post it here
http://carmonday.tumblr.com/

This guy has posted dozens of photos from myself, MC, T0m722, Coconut Photography and many of the other people who take photos on this forum. I could not find a single photo in which he had linked it to my flickr, where he presumably downloaded them from or given any accreditation to me, not even mentioned my name. A couple of other photos from the aussie spotters here were very discreetly linked to flickr accounts but almost all of mine weren't. I was wondering how you guys think I should proceed at this point, if I should contact him, whether you other photographers care, if I should just let him go etc.

thanks for the help

Or just chilax, and ask him to add a link to your Flickr account. At worst, even if he doesn't give you a link, you get more views/favs on your Flickr account.

It's a different story for the pros and semi-pros on here.

As an Amateur photographer what would be the besr sort of camera to take on a holiday?

should i be looking at a decent Happy Snap or one of the lower end DSLR ( considering I won't be using all of the potential in the camera )

Have a look at something like the Canon G12, they're small but great camera's

Offline dkabab

G12 is nice, but there are better options, Sony rx100 is nice, canons g1x is decent, although somewhat of a flop commercially as they are bringing out the eos-m now. Which is something I'd recommend.

Depending on budget, Sony NEX range, Olympus om-d, panasonic gh2 etc....

You can get some cheap SLR's now that are pretty capable, $800 will get you some pretty good gear.

Lumix make some great little cameras, the image quality of my old GF 1 still blows me away when I go on holiday. Carrying a DSLR around is a pain in the bum.
