Try PS3 tyres.

And have a more aggressive wheel alignment done to the front.

Lower the front if possible, and add some negative camber.

I will be working on the alignment also

should have just bought a lambo or Ferrari.

They come with decent handling as standard. And even I have tyres in stock.

I wouldn't mix the tyres either, PS2 are about the best compromise for a 996t.  I would also recommend buying off Camskill in the UK http://www.camskill.co.uk/ and then organising your own pickup with Transglobal http://www.transglobalexpress.co.uk/

Buying locally is too dear unfortunately.

I had Pirellis p zeros on my 997tt. Great tyres but agree the pilot super sport seen to be a lot grippier, diff car though!

Agree with MHH about supporting the local fellas. Iirc when I ended up getting my p zeros, I ended up getting a very good price which in the end may only have been $60 per tyre without all the import hassles not to mention possibility of being slugged import duty! If u need any contacts for tyres, Brenton, sing out. This chap has been excellent support for our car club with his tyre pricing and his wheel alignment equipment is very impressive!

I always try to support the local suppliers in anything, particularly if they are running a bricks and mortar operation because thats my bread and butter as well.  In the case of tyres the price differential is just ridiculous in the extreme, and if we are talking $1000 ++
I will buy on the net as I can't see any justification for it.

Variety is the spice of life (except with wife's ).

MHH & 360c you are both right. I like to go local untill the local is so more expensive they are having a lend of you.
