Isn't that a GT2 (rwd excepted)?

yes, but the Awd is the specific thing i had in mind when saying it.

if there was a 4wd GT2 that would surely be the ultimate all round performance car.

Understand what you mean. What's the weight penalty of the AWD system over RWD?

50kg on the carrera,

probably could save some of that on a light weight mission though. lighter drive shafts, titanium parts etc.

A truely epic car, just doesn't have the cache of a typical look at me Ferrari which makes them special.

Why bother with all that expensive shit. A few relatively cheap mods will reap 90% of the results anyway:

-Lithium race battery saves 16kg for $2k
-Aftermarket sports mufflers etc. Could save as much as 20kg over standard. Circa $10k
-Light weight race seats. Save about 15kg per seat over the electric jobbies that come standard. Circa $5k

The comment was in relation to Romans question about the weight of the 4wd, specifically because the GT2 was only RWD.  I think a GT2/3 spec turbo would make the ultimate all around performance car. Hence the query about the 50kg.

But gt3 will always be the king to me. A highly strung N/A engine beats all for enjoyment IMO

tempted?

No - but after the RS, perhaps.  I'm enjoying the GT3, but a Turbo is so addictive.

Turbo and Turbo S on the track...wicked wicked cars. And I thought the C2S was good
