EXCUSE ME!

POlease keep your metaphors  about German cars AWAY from Italian references.

Porsche convertibles flex like raw bratwurst, if you don't mind.  :tilt: :tilt:

Correct..........my apologies........raw bratwurst it is!

HI Mate
as you know I went for the Cab (carrera). yes it flexes a bit more but there are times with the roof down that are just fantastic. Also most of the 996 came with removable hard tops so it is the best of both worlds. The rigidity of the car is still fantastic and it increased dramatically with the newer 996 updates. If you wan't to track it well that is the only time that it will matter, you were there in tassie and saw how I went.
if you want a drive just let me know.

100% get a coupe.

There are some good buys out there at the moment although some cars are worth paying fair market value for.

With any purchase
Make sure you get a Porsche PPI on it
That is has FSH from Porsche
Has extended warranty (you can run these up to 9 years from the date of delivery)

From everything I've read and seen they are pretty much bullet proof, there is a 2nd gear pop out issue if you read a lot of boards, but if you get a car with extended warranty any issues will be covered.

I'd 100% go a coupe over a vert though, especially if you want to do the odd track day.
