Adelaide had the most rain its had in a day for many months today.

However, I wont be back in town until Thursday, so wanted to drive my new toy.

Keen to shake off my justified reputation for garage queen, I decided to drive in the pouring rain to a lunch at Flagstaff Hill golf club.
Stopping on the way to get a birthday card, and on the way back for groceries.

Its a much more comfortable drive in the weather than in the Lotus, no steam out of the radiator to contend with, but mainly the better visibility.

I did scrape the splitter a couple of times on supermarket driveways, but its plastic and flexible so not really a problem. I think they are designed to be almost consumable with many cheaper after market options for when you crack it.

Doing similar in my Europa was on the front bar fibreglass and made a much scarier noise. This probably led to the spider webbing I had in the top of the bar.

Also got more previous invoices for service items sent to me, and note that less than 2000km ago the car got new front discs and pads ($2400 high quality items), and a new splitter fitted.

Once home I rinsed off, and completely dried my car then applied some Gtechniq protectant and half got my old cover on, thus not completely ending my reign as garage queen.

Pic for evidence, supermarket car park, big puddles of water.

either way, I would be taking it slow, probably bore you to tears, or cause you to wait for me everywhere

Update: cant make it sorry, was just reminded I have another commitment.

Congrats on your toy!

Shocking day. I was out down Yankalilla/Victor way. Fog made for very slow driving.

Congratulations on the new car, needs racing stripes

To be fair, I think about the only car I'd consider as an alternative to my Lotus would be a 911 GT3 (996 or 997).  And that's it.

My ideal "driver's" garage would have one of each (my Elise and a 996 GT3).

Congrats, Futurism, awesome car!  996 GT3s are a personal favourite!
