Would make a decent rental for the US trip if they become available as a regular rental, not, plus mileage. They'd be cheap enough in the US to be a regular rental.

Boxsters would be easier to find but all Porsche rentals in LA will have punishing mileage charges.  Still a bit tempting....  :scratchchin: But a good deal on a Corvette will be hard to beat. :)

I think I like the old one better!

I said the same about the boxster, but I know I will be in the minority.

Cant come soon enough, cause I want a secondhand Cayman R.
Having a new shape Cayman out might bring the secondhand price down on the old ones, although apart from the R, they already seem cheap to me for what you get.

I might be with you on this on the Cayman. I thought they looked more 911ish before. Now they look a bit less 911 and have more of a "cheap" Porsche stigma.

Have to see one in the flesh. I used to hate Boxsters and they grew on me, this might look great in the flesh. They have looked really nice in some US pics Ive seen before.

So true, buying a camera off of you doesnt mean the pics are going to be anywhere near as good as you being there taking them.

AE has bred some pretty handy shooters over the years.  Maybe this is an opportunity for a star to be born.

It wont be me, I love that auto button way too much.  :D

My whole plan when I bought my new camera was to find the camera that I thought did all the things I wanted to do best, when it was on auto.

I'd love to, but being a uni student, it's a tad too early to raise my hand...

The bit that has always bugged me on the Cayman, and they haven't fixed it on this one, is the amount of roof you see above the windscreen. If it was slightly less visible it would look so much better.
