What's late, when did they finish ?

997 started 2006

the 996 I'm considering is 2004 GT3

engine probs on all except GT3.

Just visit a specialist mechanic, and take a look around his shop, you'll learn!

If you go to a showroom, you'll be fed shit.

I was initially looking at a 996 Turbo but I was told if I wanted a turbo then to pay extra for a 997 is it is far superior to the 996, and since I'm after a toy rather than a daily driver I guessed a 996 GT3 would be the way to go.

I've done the showroom jaunt, 1.5 years ago, walked into the porsche centre in adelaide with the intent of walking out with a 911, the salesman's attitude was enough to make me not want to buy

Oh, so buy a Ferrari with your ~$120k then!

Lovely little 328 GTB in perfect condition would be MUCH better bet...

and appreciate ~5% every year!

I've considered a ferrari as well but I dont need the "look at me" status and rocking up to work with a ferrari ( on the odd occasion) may raise some eyebrows

Dodger....sorry, seems I've hijacked your thread

It pains me so much to agree with FF, a 328GTB would be a serious consideration, or look at a 993......

The 996 value will drop like a stone - but if it doesn't worry you..........
