The car pictured in the link looks like a more muscular Cayman. The Cayman has the superior chassis - it's just that Porsche would never power and spec it up to 911 levels. The 961 revamp might be a way of doing this. A la the R8 and the TT RS - it'll be interesting to see a 961 and a Cayman S side by side in 3 years.

For me, thats the whole reason I dislike Porsche policy... They ALWAYS deliver less than they could. Whereas Ferrari push boundaries and take risks.

You are probably right.  You get a sense with Ferrari that they put their best effort on the market then get back to work to raise the bar.

Fair point - I think Jeremy Clarkson said just that when the Cayman came out.
