I know the owner of one of Melbournes f12 TDF is expecting one any day now and car #1 could be it

Melbourne has an allocation of 5 TdF's I was told some time back.

5 would sound about right. There has been two delivered that everyone knows and there is a 3rd black one which will be going to the black ferrari collector.

For me, the fact that Porsche have done a u-turn and decided to produce manuals again makes this quote hard to judge.
I agree that the back flip may take some of the 911 R's aura away but it won't be much. All reports say they are a future classic regardless, and one of the best drivers cars Porsche have made for a long time. The market seems to go crazy for these stripped out, limited edition vehicles, and because this car is essentially a homage edition to yesteryear will also add charm based on its blend of modern performance with a retro look and feel

The difficulty of getting an allocation for one means there should still be a big demand when one comes up for sale, however soon or distant that may be. Just my opinion but time will tell

More than that still surprisingly.  I hear they are still close to if not over 7 figures, I think the 911R is also moving for well over list but unsure how long that will/can last and if it wasn't one or two buyers with deep enough pockets who had to have one that didn't get an allocation
