Bob, Brenton is right. Knowing your car (by sight at least), it's hard to imagine a cleaner example. Trouble is, the punters won't pay more for a mint example. I know this from experience having sold several immaculate cars sight unseen.

To sell, the car needs to look underpriced to you. It needs to be irresistibly priced. Put clear air between yours and the other cars on the market and you will sell first. Or match the market and wait....maybe a long time.

It also needs to be said that your special colour reduces the available market, but for someone who wants it, it can be a plus too.

None of this is a science of course and you only need the one phone call.

As much as we want to try and minimise our loses, yours is priced too high.  Take in to account that the most probable type of person to buy an R will have it as their second or third car.  So compare it to the market, without yours has some exceptional justification for the higher than market price you will struggle.  The colour is a subjective choice too.

The others on the market:
Blue one - top condition car looking at the photos but the guy is dreaming on price.  It won't sell anywhere near that.
The red one is a good colour but lacking sport chrono, doesn't appeared to have been cleaned for the photos and the ad is too brief and both show no love for the car.
Black one is at PC Melbourne with low km and a 12 month dealer warranty.

Yours reads like an enthusiasts but is too long winded about the options, many of which are standard.  How does that make it any better than any of the others as there is no point of difference.  Cut this stuff out and reword the ad to highlight why it is better than the others and is worth the premium for any buyer.

Lastly price.  Basically you are going to be judged by what else is available.  That black one has some good options, is in a mainstream colour and is coming with a 12 month warranty, this car has 10k fewer kms and is retailing $2k cheaper.  I would say it is speced marginally better than yours in a more salable colour.

Long story short, reword your ad to highlight its service history, reliability and points of difference over the competition and revise your price.
