Still expensive by international standards, but good on Porsche for following through with their promise.

Well, they said they would look into it and they did.  In reality, it's a case of market forces at work.  We can expect other importers to do the same thing.

would have been nice to see the Boxster at $99,900 just as a token of goodwill - to have one model under the psychological $100k barrier. Anyway the Macan will fill that role next year with pricing starting in the mid 70k range apparently...

It's neither here nor there, their profits are probably still in line ( or greater) to what they had projected a few years ago after currency fluctuations.

isnt a cayman a boxster with a roof? Admittedly I am not 100% sure but I thought engine, transmission, chassis were the same

in which case, why is a boxster cheaper than a cayman, if a 911 cabriolet costs more than a 911 coupe?

again, the answer is because its the price the market will pay

A cayman s at a boxster s price would be really attactive

Wonder why the Panamera didn't get the price cuts - perhaps because they're waiting for the facelift model specs to be confirmed for Australia?

The Cayenne Turbo at $222K is much better - it was very hard to justify the $70K difference above an ML63 with the old pricing.

Ah but the question is, if you drive a 911 when you have "made it" and a Boxster when you haven't, where does that leave the Cayman????

Thanks - will be nice if it sees similar drops to the Cayenne at the top end of the range.
