that's the concerning part.  The libs will get in without raising a sweat but they are in for a huge task and will receive a lot of flak from the opposition labor govt and the public for the decisions they are forced to make.  Staying in power will be the problem the libs will face.

Could you imagine the state the country would be in today if the previous lib govt didnt leave a decent bank balance!

The biggest concern of all is how easily the Libs get in. If it's a wipe out, it means the Libs will be able to pass legislation without much scrutiny. Terrible way to govern any nation.

I'm certainly not a fan of Labor, definitely not, but I have always believed in a balanced Parliament and believe the merits of every piece of legislation should be well debated so as to iron out as many of the potential problems later on.

Gillard needs to do the honourable thing by resigning right now, not just to her party to restore as much of the damage as possible, but Australia, to give Australia a chance of a properly functioning Parliament. But her staying will cause problems for Australia for at least the next term even if she loses.

Hopefully not, more of them would be damaging to the marque, it would "cheapen" them.
