So I solved my problem by upgrading to a 997 Turbo... :)

Still has a Sport button which still doesn't do a whole heap but even at stock it's in a different league...

Now I just have to wade through the piles of aftermarket go faster bits to work out what's BS and whats worth having...  exhaust will be the first thing that gets replaced...  I'm hoping there's a good electronic valve solution to give me some flexibility...

apparently, if you remove the body, the engine, the gearbox, the suspension, oh and the interior, and swap all that for Ferrari 430 parts, it'll look, go, feel and sound MUCH better!
