AN armed man has stolen a Porsche in Sydney's eastern suburbs after threatening a passenger with a firearm at a service station.

A 29-year-old man had filled up his silver Porsche Boxster at a service station on Malabar Road, South Coogee, about 8.30pm (AEST) yesterday.

As he entered the service station to pay, a man wearing dark clothing and with his face covered threatened a 24-year-old female passenger with a gun.

The woman got out and the man sped off.

Police said no shots were fired and no one was injured.
