GLE Coupe.

It's not heinously ugly but it is just a marketing ploy.

I fucking hate these things. And the BMW X4 and X6. The X3 and X5 are excellent SUVs. Their coupe brothers are pointless.

Saw one in the flesh for the 1st time this week. Without a doubt the ugliest car I have ever seen in my life, even in the right colours   :spew:

We can only get away from the Macan on steep uphill climbs. Apart from that he’s right there. I’m amazed. We aren’t mucking around either.

They are amazing. I've driven the previous diesel and the new petrol and they drive very well. The turbo must be insane.

Wonder if that is a Targa rather than a full convertible? Removable roof panel?

Porsche / Re: Porsche Taycan Production Version

I’d love to be defending the Taycan at this point but I can’t. Maybe the driving experience will be amazing....

When I saw it had the standard Porsche key my heart sank a little. The determination to adhere needlessly to Porsche tradition - is that a German thing? That might explain the useless dash stopwatch and the lack of HUD too. Mmm....

The stopwatch is optional.
The key? There is a starter button on the left of the steering wheel.
Range 412-450km max.
I think the entry level models will make most sense. Comfortable, quiet and cool looking daily driver with good dynamics and build quality, nice interior, and strong enough performance for most daily situations.
But if I was going for a determined drive in the hills, I wouldn't choose any EV, nor would I choose one for driving interstate. Not yet anyway.

This is Porsche's first electric car and I reckon it's a pretty solid effort. We'll see what the drive is like...that's the clincher.

The replacement for the dead BMW has arrived.

Porsche - there is no substitute. :)
