I haven't tested that out, but I'd feel bad by asking.

And if someone tried to undercut YOUR business, would you help them do it?

Can't talk. Phones off ;)
hopefully the price will be sharper now that michelin australia won't have a monopoly over the race.

instead of selling us the left overs from the ROW at a high price.

price won't determine it, lap times and strategy will.

we can always hope!

It has been a bit steep, but have to say, he delivers service like no other.

And, based on my bitching and moaning about a tyre problem, he says he's cut up 250 tyres not safe to use :embarrassed:

i can see this event as very useful test sessions.

good for track knowledge, but it's expensive and conditions vary a lot with different weather and track use.

Certainly wouldn't want to to get to the hill with rookie driver in unfamiliar car though.

i think you can run whatever tyre you want, so hopefully one can buy from anywhere in the world rather than being ripped off by the local michelin guys.

Yes, the prices on race tyres for cars like yours are ridiculous here Scud.  You can buy them for less than half price overseas ($US1600 a set as oppossed to over $3500 Aussie), not sure why they are so expensive here.  Sure there are some additional taxes, but I wouldn't think that is $400 plus per tyre.  I'm sure you're not the first to look at options.  I was talking to a chap the other day and said why don't you all get together and bring a container load in collectively.  Track side support was also mentioned in that conversation.

Excellent!!!  Next time you have a box coming, let me know, I have some packages that need to come over and they would pack inside tyres very nicely!!!    :D
