Wouldn't that make a great extended holiday?

Visiting the best cities in the world at their peak of party atmosphere.

There was a guy that started out doing that a couple of seasons back. Wrote a blog about all his adventures and wound up as an invited guest of red bull's hospitality towards the end of the season along with a bunch of other media and fan engagement type gigs with various teams. Would be a fantastic way to spend the best part of a year.

I had a mate that did this a couple years back. Based himself out of Europe and attended all the rounds. Awesome experience. One for the bucket list.

There is a black dude in the F1 paddock every year, usually in the Ferrari hospitality area. I was introduced to him one year, a Jeweler or rag designer from memory. He does the full schedule and has become a celebrity of sorts in his outrageous clothes and gold chains. I was surprised to see him I interviewed by the TV dudes; but I guess it shows how well known he has become.

As the teams in 2014 were allowed 5 of each power unit component and only 4 in the second year then I would expect Honda to be allowed 5 as the other teams had last year.

The general gist of things as I understand it is that engines which ran last year were homologated at the start of 2014 and can be run under that homologation throughout 2015. As such development of the 2015 spec. engine can continue throughout 2015 rather than development ceasing at a prespecified date.
The key detail here is that the 2015 spec. engine can not be run until it is homologated and after that point no further 'development' changes can be made. So how long do you keep the 2015 spec. on the dyno. whilst your competitors are already running their 2015 developments. The article RS linked made it sound as though engine development will be a constant process, I don't think that is correct.
PA I would expect Honda/Mclaren will be limited to 4PU's as everyone else is. The only confusion in all of this recent noise is that there was no date specified for 2015 engine homologation (Honda will need to homologate before running in Melbourne).

Sebastian Vettel will debut the new Ferrari at Jerez this weekend, which the team has confirmed will be called the SF15-T. From Monaco it will be unofficially known by the team as SH1-T.
