So you had a 348 Kart.

Karts were all pretty good really with nobody at all complaining of truly crap kart.

Mine had a sticky throttle and a tight clutch but it was super fast on the straights if difficult to keep momentum up.

I haven't been to Dandenong for a while.  I've really enjoyed the Phillip Island Kart track.  Karts are in top condition and if you don't have a helmet, theirs are always new.

Yes pi track is good. Although for rentals its too processional as its flat for so much of it.

Lakeside track at LeMans is fun twisty and fast... near the bus.

Which is better out of Dande and PI for the not-too-serious customer? Is PI worth a trip if Im down there or will I just be disappointed after comparing to Dande the whole time?
Karts at Dandenong are surprisingly fast, I worked out my average speed to be around ~55kph on my fastest lap last time I was there.

Pi is definitely worth the trip. The track is a mini version with landscape duplication of the real track.

But as a race track with passing opportunities and features to create and exploit human error... dandy is better.

As FF said with PI you are full throttle most of the time.  I have a soft spot as PI is my favourite track in Oz and the Kart track is a replica of the main track.

If you've been around the track at PI you'll appreciate the kart track.  It is technically challenging into Honda and Lukey Heigts just like the big track.  Go down, have a go and give us some feedback.  It's only a short drive from Melbourne anyway. :D
